Practicing Theory through the Body at MIME Centrum Berlin

In this 2-day activation hosted at the MIME Centrum in Berlin, we've explored the notions of non-equilibrium stability using the body as a vessel to study complex systems metaphors. The format of the session was a combination of physical and theoretical work. We used scientific research and visualizations as an inspiration in order to then explore and develop the ideas further using physical movement. A theoretical presentation would be followed by physical movement experiments, followed by a discussion and feedback rounds, developing the theory further and going back into practice. This was the unique element of the approach where we practice the theory through the body, learning the new interesting ways to activate those ideas on the unconscious level, into the body.
